Nautical Depth evaluation for Access Channel for Port of Lekki (Nigeria)

Aktis Hydraulics has investigated the risks and feasibility associated with to Deep Sea Port development at Lekki, Nigeria, 65km east of Lagos.

Aktis has evaluated the adequacy and requirements of the dredged channel depth for design vessels arriving and departing in both the Start-Up Stage and Final Stage of the development project for various channel configurations in order to optimise accessibility of the Port and to reduce maintenance and dredging capital costs.

Aktis has first evaluated the wave conditions in a wave hindcast for various locadtions along the access channel and subsequently probabilistically determined the vertical motion response of the design vessels and the probablity of seabed contact.
