Operational conditions in the Gulf of Martaban

Aktis Hydraulics studied the wind, wave and current conditions in the Gulf of Martaban to obtain windows of opportunity for Ship-To-Ship operations.

We first derived the metocean ambient conditions accounting for local fetches based on long term hindcast data. After calibration of the modelling results, Aktis Hydraulics used statistical analysis to produce weather windows relevant for the client. This involved a multi-variable set of limiting criteria based on we computed weather windows.

Thanks to our global databases and streamlined production, we were able to analyse, calibrate and partition the offshore spectra, propagate the waves nearshore and do a weather window analysis within one week.
