Metocean conditions for Liverpool II terminal

“Operability, down-time, wave overtopping and terminal evaluation”

Aktis Hydraulics has carried out a detailed wave and wind climate hind cast for the Liverpool II development. The site is characterised by large tidal variations, large tidal flows in the Queen Elisabetch access channel that is confined by a trailing wall that is visible at low water.

Detailed offshore swell and sea waves were propagated towards the new terminal location. The berth is to avoid needing to use the Gladstone Dock for container operations and to allow for larger classes of container vessels to call Liverpool Port.
